A Year of Milo
One year ago today, I was doing this:
which hurt a lot. But by the end of the day we ended up with this:
which was pretty well worth it. And soon we had this:

And a little too much of this:

And now we've got this:

And all in all, we think it's been a pretty good year!
17 blowing hot air:
I have those shoes! The sweet burgundy ones from Payless.

I really liked this post. Milo is certainly his own person.

OOOHHHH Happy Birthday Milo!!!!
That Milo... he just sneaks right in and sets up residence in a person's heart. :)
Now he is on the gooooooo -- Happy Birthday Milo!
That picture of him in the paper hat with his name on it is the cutest. He looks like a little elf or something.
Why have you been hiding all the cute pictures of the second child while Huck gets his every move documented on Flickr?!?
It must be such a burden to have two such unbearably darling children...what a sweetheart Milo is.
Huck is something of a camera hog, and Milo frowns and refuses to look at the camera. Also, he doesn't stay still, so even though I will take 30 pictures of him, they'll be mostly fuzzy ones. Versus Huck who actually poses (and always has, even as a baby!). These are the five or so pictures of Milo smiling this year.
Also, there were several of these that I was going to use for Milo's birth announcement, so I didn't want to put them up until I mailed that out, which about took 10 months to do. . . and then I didn't use the pictures anyway.
And, you know, definitely, Huck's first year and a half is better documented than Milo's, I'll give you that. But to be fair, if you look at our Flickr since Milo's been born, I think there's about an equal amount of Huck vs. Milo pics that have made it onto there. It's just the pictures of Huck, he's smiling and looking into the camera, so it seems like there are more. But there's not. I take and post less pictures in general now because of the whole chasing two kids thing and also we didn't have a camera at all for two months and then we had a broken lens for a few months so 80% of our pictures had a weird light flare.
You touched a nerve here. Sorry.
And, dammit, with the exception of the ones taken this past week and the shoe-eating and electrical cord playing (which I was GOING to upload for a blog post that never happened), most of those WERE posted to Flickr--I just re-uploaded so I wouldn't have to sift through them.
PMS'ing, by the way.
Dude - whoa. Joke lang.
We all know you love them equally - I think Milo frowning is actually just as entertaining as him smiling - he has as many serious expressions as Huck has smiles...
Are you still mad your parents made a baby book for H. and not you?
Take an ibuprofen. Maybe washed down with some wine. Sheesh.
Ryan never took a good picture either. He is so cute in person, and then I would take 100 pictures to get a good one. We have about 20 pictures from his first year that I like. I have 20 pictures of Adam that I like, and he is only 3 months old. I totally "get it"

Happy birthday Milo. Hope you had a fun day full of serious glares, thumb sucking and reaching down women's blouses to cop a feel. Sorry I missed it.
